Meet Our Team

Shane has been with Southern Fire since 2013 and is the lead estimator for Southern Fire; Shane deals with the sprinkler design of projects (Holds a NICET Level I in design), field supervision and project management of sprinkler jobs and procurement for the company. Shane has a B.S. degree in Construction Engineering Technology from the University of Southern Mississippi, which he obtained in 2011, and has worked in the construction field since then.

Matt, a South Mississippi native, recently joined Southern Fire in September of 2019, bringing with him over 10 years of previous experience in the fire protection and sprinklers industries. He is NICET Level 2 certified in Inspection Testing and Maintenance. He also has a Backflow Tester license through the state of MS. Matt specializes primarily in fire extinguishers and hood suppression systems, and works out of their Gulf Coast location. 

Brandon joined the Southern Fire team in 2013 and has been in the fire protection industry since 2004. His background is in new installs, fire pumps, inspections, and servicing of fire sprinkler systems. Since joining Southern Fire he has obtained a NICET 3 in Inspections and Testing of Water-Based Systems and he also holds a state license in testing of backflow preventers. Brandon manages, coordinates, and estimates fire sprinkler inspections and repairs.

Scotty has been with Southern Fire since 2015, He received his BS in Construction Engineering and Technology from Southern Miss in 2013. Scotty has managed the coast market for Fire extinguisher and Restaurant suppression systems, where he was responsible for sales & growth. He is currently Over Field Supervision of new installations of the Fire Sprinkler construction projects (Field Superintendent). He has a certification in Backflow testing, Fire Extinguishers and Hood Suppression systems.

Cory started in the fire protection industry in October of 2005 as a helper, and in 2007 he started in fire sprinkler system design. Since then Cory has designed fire sprinkler systems for all different types of buildings including casino’s, industrial facilities, warehouse’s, and medical facilities. This includes designing wet systems, dry systems, deluge systems, and some foam systems. Cory received is NICET Level I (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) certification in Water Based System Layouts in 2009, Level II certification in 2015, and Level III certification in 2016. The NICET Level III certification is still current to date.

Jeremy joined the Southern Fire team in November of 2020, bringing with him over 10 years of previous experience in fire alarms, access control, and security. Jeremy is NICET 2 certified in fire alarms, has a Class B security license, and is Gamewell FCI & Firelite certified. Jeremy is responsible for the day to day operations of the alarm department where he manages, coordinates, and estimates fire alarms, access control and security systems.
